« on: January 06, 2015, 05:55:33 PM »
Use this thread to discuss the advantages of gas A/C.  How many units have you installed?  Do you feel that the customer was satisfied by them?  From your experience‚Ķ Do you think gas A/C will become more or less popular?

You mean an air-conditioning unit run by gas instead of electricity? Who manufactures that? how much does it cost?

One of the main advantage of this kind of A/C is you can save your energy by 30% to 40% which is quite good reason for me. Also it is good when we talk about maintenance.

A gas air conditioner runs on natural gas, and it has several advantages over conventional electric AC systems:

1.) A gas AC unit typically requires 30 to 50 percent less energy than an electric home cooling unit.
2.) Gas air conditioner units are also suitable for multi-zone cooling since they require minimal duct work. These HVAC units use sealed refrigerant, so they don't need to be recharged and are environmentally friendly.
3.) Gas ACs don't need compressors and have few moving parts, so they require little maintenance.
4.) The upfront cost to install a gas AC is generally higher than an electric system.
5.) Yet a gas air conditioner can last twice as long as an electric AC system.
