Paint Finish For Interior Walls
« on: February 22, 2014, 04:36:15 AM »
I am planning on doing interior painting in my first house. I have been presented with multiple options like “flat”, “eggshell”, “matte” and “satin”. I am not sure what the best option is because I haven’t done this in the past. Can anyone please advice on the choice of finish? Also, need to know the best way to remove the old wall paper safely?

Thanks in advance.

Paint finishes is an interesting topic. Before you buy any paint consider the color of the room as a whole. Soft furnishing are important but so is flooring and furnishing. Matte is a good option as it can be really transitional, and it is easy to add furnishings to make the room "flow".

Wallpaper - you can hire or buy special removers. This is the best option as there is no damage to walls. Remember to sandpaper the walls afterwards to get a smooth finish.
